Breve Curriculum Vitae: Laurea in Mathematics (1997, 110/110 cum laude, University of Milan, Italy) and Ph.D in Computational Mathematics and Operations Research (2001, University of Milan, Italy), Davide La Torre is Associate Professor (Tenured) of Applied Mathematics at the Department of Economics, Business and Statistics of the University of Milan, Adjunct Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada) and Adjunct Professor at the School of Commerce and Administration of Laurentian University (Ontario, Canada). He spent several periods as Visiting Professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics of the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada), at the Department of Mathematics of the Australian National University (Canberra, Australia), at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of Guelph (Ontario, Canada), at the Department of Probability and Mathematical Statistics of the Charles University (Prague, CZ), at the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of Acadia University (Nova Scotia, Canada), at the School of Commerce and Administration of Laurentian University (Sudbury, Canada) and at the Department of Economics and Related Studies of the University of York (York, UK).
